Quevedo's ventures and his resilience and ability to adapt to the market
Main Article Content
Abstract
Market fluctuations and competition force Quevedo's businesses to adjust their management to maintain operational continuity. The objective was to analyze their resilience and adaptive capacity and identify strategies used in response to changes in demand and the operating environment. A descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional study was conducted; information was collected through a survey of entrepreneurs and examined using descriptive statistics and analysis of associations between dimensions of resilience, adaptation, and management practices. The results show that adaptation is based on reorganizing resources, diversifying activities, adjusting costs, strengthening support networks, and incorporating alternative commercial channels. Limitations are related to liquidity constraints, informality, and insufficient financial planning, which increase vulnerability to shocks. The interpretation suggests that social capital and managerial capabilities explain the observed response. It is concluded that strengthening planning, access to financing, and local coordination can improve stability and performance.
